In summer, you can drive up to Illabunda Lodge, by crossing the car park and driving up the dirt road. There is room to park a limited number of cars at the front of and beside the Lodge. Be alert to weather conditions - snowfalls can occur and you might find it very difficult to drive out from the lodge. If snow is threatening, please consider parking in the Perisher Valley carpark.

In winter, there is no overnight parking at Perisher Valley, and there is no access to the roads to Illabunda. Park your car at the bottom of the Ski Tube, at Bullocks Flat. Either catch a Hans Oversnow snow-cat from the Ski Tube terminal at Perisher Valley, or walk, about 300m. The easiest walk from the Ski Tube Terminal or the Perisher Valley carpark is to cross the right hand pedestrian bridge across Perisher Creek, walk around the Perisher Hotel on the right hand side, and then climb the hill to the right of the ski-lifts and below the half-pipe. Follow the path taken by oversnow transport, and turn right to go down the hill to Illabunda.
